I have South Asian roots and speak two Indian languages Hindi and Punjabi as well as English. My original corporate career of many years led to seek therapy for myself, eventually retraining as I found myself passionate about how psychotherapy enables change and transitions from the time I was in a very stuck place.
I have worked in various settings and truly and deeply believe that the bond that we create is the vehicle for the therapy. I am non judgemental, kind, fair, straightforward and allow humour into the space. I work a lot with examples and imagery as I believe this retrains us to become the most fulfilled and leading lives where we aren't merely surviving but thriving.
I use a variety of psychological approaches. This enables us yes that's right you are a part of your own therapy, to pace and personalise therapy for you. You are not under any pressure to perform but simply to be in the pace and your patterns of being and relating to others.
In couples work I am an observer of the dynamics between you to offer insights and support whilst you navigate the issues that bring you. Often we will come to understand the other person's perspective and then it is on us whether this is important to us or not to enable change in the way we interact. You will find in both forms of therapy you will become more aware of your own instinctive responses and how they can change if you feel this is important to you.
