Reaching out for counselling isn't always easy. It can take a great deal of courage to acknowledge that something doesn't feel quite right or that life has become difficult to manage alone. If you've found yourself here, you've already taken an important first step, and whether you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck or simply looking for a space to make sense of your thoughts and emotions, you're very welcome.
I work with both adolescents and adults, supporting people through a wide range of experiences including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, bereavement, trauma, relationship difficulties, identity, life transitions and emotional overwhelm. I also have experience working with young people navigating the unique challenges of adolescence, helping them better understand their emotions, build resilience and develop healthier ways of coping.
My approach is warm, compassionate and collaborative. I believe that every person has their own story, shaped by their experiences, relationships and the world around them. Rather than offering advice or quick solutions, I provide a safe, non-judgemental space where we can gently explore whatever is happening for you, at a pace that feels right. I see counselling as a shared journey, where feeling heard, understood and accepted can often be the beginning of meaningful change.
No two people are the same, so I tailor our sessions to meet your individual needs. Alongside talking therapy, I may draw upon mindfulness, grounding techniques, creative resources or body awareness where appropriate, helping you reconnect with yourself and gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts, emotions and patterns. My aim is to help you build greater self-awareness, self-compassion and confidence, so you feel better equipped to navigate life's challenges both now and in the future.
Finding the right counsellor is an important part of the process, which is why I offer a free 15-minute introductory telephone call. This gives us the opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling, answer any questions you may have and see whether we feel like the right fit to work together.
