Therapy can be a life changing experience, a time for growth, exploration and personal development. You may be coming in the hope of resolving some past or current experiences that you find overwhelming, or you may feel confused, lost, stuck, experience difficult symptoms or unhelpful behaviours that inhibit you living life to the full. Whatever your reasons are for starting therapy, we will work together to find the right approach for you.
Being an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, I bring together many pathways that can offer different approaches, tools and techniques tailored to fit the needs of each client. Integrative therapy is a progressive therapy offering flexibility and builds on the latest understanding of psychotherapy, neuroscience and how our mind, bodies and spirits are all connected. I particularly like to work in an embodied and creative way depending on the needs of my clients.
It is fundamental that you find a therapist you can work with and trust. The better the relationship between you and your therapist the more likely you are going to benefit and see changes in your life through your coping strategies, relationships, thought patterns, behaviours and/or perspective. I deeply respect difference and actively practice anti-racism. I welcome people of any gender identity, sexuality, background or with any relationship style. Respect and compassion is the cornerstone of my practice.
I trained at the The Minster Centre, a leading Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy training college. My qualifications are a BACP-accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling, an Advanced Diploma and an MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am currently in training with the Institute of Embodied Psychotherapy. I am an accredited UKCP integrative psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP and abide by their ethical frameworks.
I can offer a free informal telephone chat (around 15 mins) over the phone to see if we might be a good fit. If we felt we might be, I would then arrange an initial consultation with you to find out more about you and for you to meet me.
